The CPCR will of course follow them closely to relate, explain\u00a0and decrypt them for you.\u00a0But we are in dire financial straits!\u00a0The legal proceedings are becoming more and more numerous; the\u00a0expenses are increasing and go well beyond our association\u2019s budget\u2026\u00a0So, after more than 10 years of independent funding, sometimes backed up by our own private funds,\u00a0we are obliged to make an urgent appeal to you all: voluntary helpers, sympathizers, citizens, humanists\u00a0and friends \u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>PLEASE DONATE NOW!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The CPCR is a recognized community service association (residents in France can thus deduct 66,6%\u00a0of donations from their income tax with the tax receipt we will remit) whose main aim is to bring to court\u00a0Rwandans living in France suspected of having taken part in the genocide.\u00a0More than one million Rwandans were murdered between April and July 1994 because they were born\u00a0Tutsi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">20 years later, largely through the work of the CPCR and the support of other civil society associations,\u00a0the first genocide trial was held in France. Pascal SIMBIKANGWA was sentenced to 25 years imprisonment\u00a0by the French criminal court on March 14, 2014, for genocide and complicity in crimes against\u00a0humanity (he is appealing).\u00a0This historical trial was the result of a long and relentless process starting in 2001. It laid the ground\u00a0for the numerous trials to come in 2015 and later.
